Glass That Makes the Whole Bathroom Read Bigger

The right shower door does more work than any other single finish in a bathroom. Frameless glass makes a 5×8 hall bath read like a 6×10. Low-iron glass eliminates the green tint that cheap doors carry. A clean hinge, a quality clip, and a 1/2" tempered slab will outlast every other finish in the room.

We install every shower door ourselves — measured after tile or panel install, fabricated to those exact dimensions, and set by the same crew that built the shower. No third-party glass company, no missed silicone, no four-week scheduling gap.

Why this matters

Cheap doors with the wrong glass thickness or undersized hinges are the #1 cosmetic failure in a 5-year-old shower. Hinge sag, silicone discoloration, and the dreaded green tint on cheap glass all make an otherwise beautiful tile shower look tired faster than anything else in the room. Doing the door right is one of the highest-leverage upgrades in the entire bathroom.

Our Process

What it actually looks like from the free walkthrough through final hand-off.

1. Measure after tile or panel install

We come back to the finished shower and laser-measure every dimension. Plumb checked, level confirmed, opening verified to 1/16".

2. Fabrication

Glass cut, tempered, and edge-polished to your exact specs at the glass shop. Typical turnaround 7–10 days.

3. Install

Hardware mounted into the tile or panel using neoprene shims and silicone. Glass set, hinges adjusted, door swung true. Silicone seals run at every plane change.

4. Cure & first use

Silicone needs 24 hours to fully cure before first use. We give you exact care and cleaning instructions before we leave.

Door Styles & Glass Options

The product families we install — with honest pros and cons at the walkthrough.

FRAMELESS — single fixed panel, single door, or full inline + return · 1/2" tempered glass · clip or hinge-mounted
SEMI-FRAMELESS — thin top/side rail with frameless door · 3/8" tempered glass · most popular value option
SLIDING — bypass or single-track barn-style · ideal for tub-shower combos and tighter openings
PIVOT — single panel that swings in either direction · great for compact walk-in showers
FIXED PANEL — single splash guard for curbless walk-ins without a full door
LOW-IRON GLASS — eliminates green tint · upcharge of $200–$400 typical · worth it for marble, white tile, or statement showers

Shower Doors & Glass FAQs

Real questions we get on the phone every week — answered straight.

How much does a frameless shower door cost in the Upstate?

Frameless single-panel doors run $1,600–$2,800 installed. Full frameless inline + return enclosures run $2,400–$3,500. Sliding and pivot doors run $900–$1,500. Semi-frameless run $1,400–$2,200. Low-iron glass adds $200–$400.

What's the difference between frameless and semi-frameless?

Frameless uses 1/2" tempered glass with clips or hinges mounted directly to tile — no metal frame anywhere except the hardware. Semi-frameless uses 3/8" glass with a thin top or side rail. Frameless reads cleaner and lasts longer; semi-frameless is typically $400–$900 cheaper and a great value pick for guest baths.

Is low-iron glass worth the upcharge?

On white tile, marble, and any light-colored statement shower — yes, every time. Standard glass carries a subtle green tint at every edge that reads gray against white tile. Low-iron is essentially clear. The $200–$400 upcharge is the single best dollar spend in any frameless enclosure.

Do you install on an existing tile shower, or only on showers you built?

Both. We retrofit doors on existing showers regularly — measure, fabricate, install. The only thing we check first is that the tile is plumb and level enough to mount hardware against. If not, we'll flag it before quoting.

How long does the install take?

Measurement and fabrication: 7–10 business days. Install itself: 2–4 hours. Silicone needs 24 hours to fully cure before first use.

What's the warranty?

Glass and hardware carry a 5–10 year manufacturer warranty against seal failure, hinge sag, and edge chipping. Installation labor carries our 5-Year Workmanship Warranty.
